Introduction

Hono Conference 2025 welcomes diverse participants from various countries, regions, and communities, and aims to create a meaningful and safe learning space for all participants where individuals are respected and interact with mutual respect.
Therefore, all event participants, including speakers, staff, and sponsors, must agree to and comply with this code of conduct. This includes not only the day of the event, but also related events, communication tools, and social media interactions.

Compliance with Laws and Venue Rules

Please comply with relevant Japanese laws, various Tokyo Metropolitan ordinances, and venue rules. You are responsible for the use of images, icons, and expressions in your presentations, so please pay sufficient attention to avoid legal violations such as copyright infringement or harassment.
On the day of the event, you must follow the instructions of the staff.

Respect for Individuals with Diverse Attributes

We do not tolerate any discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
We strive to create an environment that welcomes a wide range of participants and respect diversity of thought and experience.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal or textual references related to gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, or religion. For example:

are included.

Show Respect and Recognize Each Other's Value

Be polite and respectful to all event participants. Rather than negative communication, respect each other's opinions, cherish the attitude of learning from each other without fear of making mistakes, and exchange opinions constructively.
Everyone's ideas, skills, and contributions have value. Even when you encounter different thoughts and opinions from your own, actively listen to others' statements, value open dialogue and exchanges that respect different perspectives, and enjoy the differences.

Respect for Privacy

Respect other participants' privacy and do not handle personal information or private topics inappropriately.
If it is not clear whether information is appropriate to post on social media, please check with the relevant people.
Please note that Hono Conference 2025 may take photos and videos of the venue and live stream. We will inform participants in advance of the possibility of being captured in photos/videos during registration and conduct filming accordingly. To make it clear that photographers are staff or related parties requested by staff, we will make them identifiable with badges, T-shirts, armbands, etc.
For speakers who need special accommodations regarding live streaming, please contact the Hono Conference Executive Committee directly at honoconf@gmail.com.

When Encountering Behavior that Violates the Code of Conduct

If these are not observed, the organizers and Hono Conference 2025 staff will take measures deemed appropriate, including verbal warnings and forced removal/expulsion of violators. If the degree of violation is significant, measures such as reporting to police or related agencies may be taken.

If you are being harassed, or if you notice that someone else is being harassed, or if you have concerns about behavior that violates this code of conduct, please immediately contact Hono Conference 2025 staff.
